Job Description:

Mix and serve drinks directly and through servers

Duties:

  • Have fun and entertain customers
  • Mixes ingredients in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Serves wine and bottled or draft beer and mixed drinks
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff and patrons
  • Checks identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Cleans glasses, utensils and bar equipment including bar stock area, cooler area, storage areas, etc
  • Plans bar menu and creates drink recipes
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays
  • Inventory bar and beer
  • Stock bar and beer
  • Keep ice in beer bin and soda fountain
  • Orders or requisitions liquor and supplies
  • Settles customer and server orders and handles cash

  • Legal—Knowledge of laws, legal codes and government regulations surrounding the sale of alcoholic beverages

DaBomb bartender does much more than prepare and serve drinks. A positive and cheerful attitude along with a great personality must be exhibited at all times. A complete knowledge of the food and liquor menu and recipes is essential to great service. A sharp appearance, knowledge of daily and weekly promotions and total dedication to our guests’ satisfaction is an ongoing requirement.

DaBomb bartenders are also responsible for:

  1. Keeping the bar clean and well organized. This includes keeping the mirrors clean and the register area clean and free of clutter daily.
  2. Keeping the bottle arrangement system perfectly in order, at all times.
  3. Abiding by the state laws associated with serving minors, habitual drunkards, and visibly intoxicated patrons.
  4. Making all recipe drinks according to DaBomb Drink Recipe Manual.
  5. Maintaining an established liquor, beer and wine cost.
  6. Taking cash, making correct change, correctly transacting and closing all credit card sales, and recording all sales correctly. You have two minutes from the time a drink is made to ring it into the POS system. It is suggested that you ring up the order prior to serving the drink.
  7. Overseeing waitresses in ordering and garnishing all drinks properly.
  8. Opening and closing the bar correctly.
  9. Maintaining the daily cleaning schedule as indicated in the break room.
  10. Notifying a manager in the event of a problem, or perception of a problem.
  11. Assisting fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities when and where necessary.
  12. Consistent adherence to policies and procedures of DaBomb Platinum as outlined in manuals and other training materials.
  13. Physical requirements: You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for up to 12 hours at a time.
  14. You must be able to work all holidays.
  15. You must back your bar by restocking liquor, beer, kegs and ice.
  16. Anything else we can think of.
