Job Description:

Deliver food to customers

Duties:

• Deliver food to customers at home, work or school and receive payment
• Plan and follow most efficient routes for delivering food
• Mark deliveries as departed
• Obtain signature and payments using proper credit card handling procedures
• Inform regular customers of new products, services or changes
• Distribute flyers in order to solicit new business
• Call on prospective customers in order to explain company services and to solicit new business
• Execute marketing plans as instructed by management
• Expedite orders – take orders, bag orders, etc.
• Clean delivery area, delivery bags, signs, drink carriers, etc
• Clean windows, restrooms, garbage can, etc as needed
• Anything else that is needed

Knowledge

• Map Reading—Knowledge of map reading techniques and geographical knowledge
• Customer and Personal Service—Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including; customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Sales—Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling our products and services.
• Legal—Knowledge of laws, legal codes and government regulations surrounding the food and food preparation areas. Knowledge of traffic laws

A complete knowledge of the menu and recipes is essential to great service. A sharp appearance, knowledge of promotions and total dedication to our customers’ satisfaction is an ongoing requirement.
