Job Description:

Prepare and cook food.

Duties:

• Prepares specialty foods following specific methods
• Reads food order receipt and prepares and cooks food according to instructions
• Slices food using knives and food slicing machines
• Cleans work area and food preparation equipment
• Changes fryer oil
• Cleans equipment and beneath equipment weekly
• Keeps detailed list of inventory
• Cleans and organizes food storage areas including freezers, coolers, stock rooms, mop closets, shelves, etc.
• Orders inventory from supplier
• Receives food from supplier
• Rotates food and inventory using the FIFO (First-In-First-Out Method)
• Cleans grease trap, trash cans, windows, prep tables, utensils, dishes, holding containers, etc
• Prepares party trays and buffet items
• Assists with banquet and buffet set-up and break-down
• Anything else we can think of.

Legal/Healthcodes—Knowledge of laws, legal codes and government regulations surrounding the food and food preparation areas
